Shoppers keen to update their wardrobes for the cold, windy autumn weather while sticking to a budget may be interested in Lidls new clothing range. As part of the supermarket's upcoming Special Buy update, customers will be able to get their hands on a new 'Norwegian-style' Special Buy.
From Sunday, October 18, shoppers will find an Esmara Ladies' Beige Chunky Knit Jumper available in stores for £6.99. Lidl says the jumper features a "jacquard pattern and raglan sleeves with ribbed cuffs".
It is also made with recycled material, including 73% acrylic, 21% polyester (recycled), 4% wool, 2% elastane. The store adds that the elastane is Lyrca "for a superior fit". Sizes include small, medium and large.
The £7 beige 'Norwegian-style' jumper shares a similar-looking pattern on the front and back to a pricier option available at John Lewis. The high-street store is selling a Hush Meryl Roll Neck Fairisle Jumper in 'sand brown' for £135.
For those who like the look of John Lewis' £135 Hush version, but are keen to keep spending as low as possible, Lidl's option could be a more budget-friendly alternative. While the two jumpers do not look identical and differ in material and design, they both share a similar 'Norwegian-style' pattern across the neckline and chest.
Lidl's £7 jumper features a standard ribbed crew neck, while the John Lewis jumper has a high, slouchy roll neck. In terms of fit and silhouette, Lidl's jumper offers a close-to-neck standard fit and length. Meanwhile, the John Lewis jumper is more oversized, with a relaxed silhouette and dropped shoulders.
However, for shoppers looking for a beige jumper with a 'Norwegian-style' pattern for less than £10, Lidl's option could be worth considering. The £7 also looks similar to H&M's £27.99 Jacquard-Knit Jumper, which has now sold out.

For men, there is the Men’s Black Padded Gilet for £8.99. The store says: "Lightweight, warm and wind-resistant. Water-repellent outer fabric thanks to Bionic-Finish Eco technology. High collar with full zip and chin guard. With pockets. Sizes: M-XXL."
Lidl is also releasing a variety of socks, including fluffy options for £1.99, and patterned styles for the same price. Patterns include ducks, rolls and pretzels, cherries and bananas, astronauts, and more.
