WWE star Drew McIntyre has already proved just how menacing he can be in the ring.

He’s a four-time world champion, two-time tag team champion and one-time intercontinental champion. He’s won the Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank one time each as well. With his hulking figure and silky smooth long hair, it almost seems like the Scotsman was made for the cameras. Over the last year, he’s begun to prove that notion.

McIntyre has had a role in the 2024 film "The Killer’s Game" and is set to be a part of "The Last Druid" starring Russell Crowe and the "Highlander" reboot, which also stars Crowe and WWE Hall of Famer Dave Bautista. With his recent success, McIntyre has gotten a part in a micro-drama series with actor Chase Mattson and a few other WWE figures.

McIntyre stars as a dangerous secret agent. He goes undercover to help protect a young girl from being targeted by a billionaire arms dealer. But what makes "Agent of Shadows" stand out from every other TV show in the same genre, is that it will premiere on ReelShort.

ReelShort is a streaming service that produces short-form videos for the social media age. McIntyre told OutKick Dropkick he was aware of the platform because he would need to watch something on airplanes as he traveled around the world for wrestling and filming.

"I had a look at it, it was a lot of fun, a lot of chance to show some range, and I went, heck yeah, I wanna be part of this thing," he recalled after getting asked whether he would want to perform in the series. "It has the action, the comedy and it has heart, too."

Mattson told OutKick Dropkick he was drawn to the show because of his martial-arts background.

"I just felt like Adam, the character, was a lot like myself and I loved how much I could resonate with it so fast. I love the amount of action, comedy and a little bit of romance that was spread throughout the script. I was like, I need to be a part of this. And it was a lot different from all of the other projects that I’ve done."

Mattson said he didn’t really know much about McIntyre before working with him. He noticed how big the pro wrestler.

"I’m like, OK, I’m 6-3, 215, I’m a big guy, too," he recalled. "But he walked on set and I was like, ‘This dude’s a giant.’ I’m big, that’s a giant. But no, I didn’t know anything about him other than that – he was a big guy. And he came and I was like, ‘OK, he’s probably going to be really mean.’ But he’s the nicest guy I’ve ever met.

"I felt really honored to be acting alongside Drew because he had just came off of these movies with these big, heavy hitters and I’m like, ‘Oh you’re with me. This is kinda cool.’"

WWE will have a massive imprint on "Agent of Shadows."

The trailer for the micro-drama dropped last week. WWE stars like Royce Keys, Joe Hendry, Jacob Fatu, Nikkita Lyons, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger make an appearance. Michael Hayes and Booker T also make a splash in the show.

McIntyre agreed that it shows that WWE is not just one thing when it comes to sports entertainment. It very much is sports and entertainment across the board.

"Not one thing is an understatement, or understatement of the year these days," he said. "I first came into the company in ’07 and I could not imagine it being any bigger and to watch the growth from then to now and seeing the company everywhere in 180 countries, 28 different languages, 800 million homes, billions with a ‘B’ social media followers, on ESPN, Netflix, billion-dollar deals cut by the billion-dollar man Nick Khan and now getting involved in the vertical-short world with ReelShort … this is not a new thing, this is a billion-dollar industry and it’s awesome.

"WWE is getting involved, giving our superstars a chance to showcase a different side of their personality in a more acting range with the action with the comedy and hopefully highlight using our platform to highlight, using the platform, a lot of the actors like Chase because it is the future no matter how anyone looks at it."

"Agent of Shadows" drops on ReelShort on Oct. 23.
