Donald Trump has launched another attack at an audience member after his rally in Alaska was interrupted by a heckler.
The US President has travelled to Alaska ahead of the crucial midterm elections, in the hope of drumming up more support before election day on November 3.
But, all did not go as planned as he was speaking about his 2024 victory against former Vice President Kamala Harris, with an altercation taking place in the crowd, The US Mirror reports.
"Sounds like we have a spoiled child," Trump said as the audience booed.
The camera quickly panned over to the situation, but quickly returned to Trump, who praised the police. "Wow, good law enforcement!" he said. As he was escorted out, Trump added: “He’s now got the displeasure of going home to his mother and father who both voted for me, by the way.”
It comes after a similar incident a day earlier in Youngstown, where a female heckler was punched in the face by a male attendee before security stepped in to remove her from the event.
During the incident, Trump referred to the woman as a "fat guy" who needs to "go on a diet."
Nearly an hour behind schedule, the president took the stage just after 4:20 p.m. local time in Wasilla.
The rally is being held at a local hockey arena. On the rink, there are seats where the ice would otherwise be.
Many in the crowd were seen waving American flags and “Make America Great Again” caps.
The events were planned to boost support for Alaskan Sen. Dan Sullivan, who is in a heated race that could determine whether Republicans keep control of the Senate after the midterms next month. Sullivan faces a challenge from former Democratic Rep. Mary Peltola, who received more votes than Sullivan did in Alaska's open primary in August.
During his speech, the US President announced what he claimed was “one of the biggest deals ever made”, claiming that Taiwan will purchase gas from a natural gas project in Alaska that Senator Dan Sullivan is touting in his reelection campaign.
There was no immediate confirmation from Taiwan, the self-governing island that China claims as its own. There were also no immediate further details from the White House.
“Taiwan has just agreed to buy 30% of the gas coming off the pipeline for the next 20 years,” Trump said. “That guarantees success. It’s one of the biggest commitments in history for anything. It’s one of the biggest deals ever made.”
Taiwan has also agreed to invest more than $4 billion in the project, Trump said. The president had similarly touted a $54 billion investment from South Korea in the Alaska pipeline, although South Korean officials had initially said the country needed to assess the project’s viability before actually committing to it.
