New Lidl £7 'elegant' lamp looks similar to £85 Next and £38 Argos - out Thursday For those who like the look of Next's and Argos' versions, but would like to stick to a budget, Lidl's lamp could be an option Lidl shoppers will soon be able to get their hands on a new piece of homeware that will not only cost less than £10 but also look similar to a pricier version available at Next. The budget supermarket brings out new items every Thursday and Sunday as part of its weekly Special Buy update across its Middle Aisle range. Next week, shoppers can browse several new products in Lidl's 'Home' collection. On Thursday, October 22, a new 'elegant' lamp will hit shelves, and it could be a budget-friendly alternative for bargain hunters who like the look of a similar option on sale at Next, which costs more than eight times as much. Lidl's new Livarno LED Table Lamp will be on offer for £7.99. In the product description, Lidl says: " Contemporary design. Elegant lampshade in white glass with a fine ribbed design. Gentle, glare-free lighting. Base with furniture-friendly pad." Additional features include: - Power cable (1.55m) with integrated switch - Includes LED bulb with warm white light - For indoor use - Fitting: E14 - Lampshade: 15cm - Height: 15.5cm - Three-year warranty The budget supermarket's LED Table Lamp shares similar features to Next's Nordlux Milford Table Lamp, which costs £85. Next says: "Milford is a decorative series, where the opal white glass lends a very particular expression to the series. The combination of the forms and the grooved, transparent surface creates elegance and illuminates the room with a soft and warm light." Both lamps share a Scandinavian-inspired aesthetic, featuring an opal white glass shade with a distinctively fine ribbed texture. When switched on, both models emit a gentle, glare-free glow, which, according to the retailers, is perfect for creating a cosy atmosphere in any room. Despite their similar appearance, a few differences separate the two pieces. The high-street Nordlux Milford version features a brown wood base and stands at a larger height of 21.5cm. Lidl’s budget alternative opts for a simpler, flush grey base and a more compact 15.5cm frame. Lidl’s lamp also includes an E14 LED bulb and a three-year warranty, whereas the £85 Next version requires a bulb to be bought separately. The £7.99 Lidl lamp also comes in black, which looks similar to Argos' £38 Nordlux Milford LED Table Lamp. Argos says: "Bring a soft, ambient glow to your bedside table or desk with this elegant table lamp, perfect for late-night reading or creating a calm atmosphere." Also coming out next Thursday (October 22), Lidl will add a Silentnight Double Electric Blanket to shelves, priced at £19.99. In the product description, the supermarket says: "Stay warm and cosy at night with this winter warmer electric blanket from Silentnight."
