Oxford rape probe as two girls, 14, taken to secluded woods and CCTV released Thames Valley Police has released CCTV as part of an investigation into the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl and sexual assault of another girl of the same age in Oxford A 14-year-old girl was raped and another of the same age was sexually assaulted in a park in Oxford, according to police. The victims got into conversation with four males who they did not know in Florence Park. The two 14-year-old girls and two of the males then went to Marsh Park, Thames Valley Police said. There, they were allegedly attacked in a secluded wooded area. Police said one of the victims was raped by one of the males and the other sexually assaulted by the other male. Both girls then left the park and contacted the police. CCTV footage of a male on a bike has now been released as officers are looking to speak to him in connection with the incident, which took place on July 28 between 5.15pm and 6pm. Detective Constable Sarah Tibble said a number of enquiries have already taken place. This includes forensic examinations and searches of the parks, taking statements from the victims and witnesses, and undertaking ID parades. A 20-year-old man from Oxford was arrested on suspicion of rape and sexual assault but has been released on police bail with conditions until January 14. A boy was also arrested in connection with the investigation. Following further enquiries, it was established he was not involved in the offences and was released without charge. DC Tibble said: "I am releasing a CCTV image of a male who I believe may have vital information that can progress our investigation. "As part of our thorough investigation we have carried out forensic examinations and searches at the parks, supported and taken statements from the victims and other witnesses, undertaken phone enquiries, carried out CCTV enquiries, undertaken ID parades, worked directly with local communities to identify several potential witnesses, and made two arrests. "However, we have been unable to identify this male, who we believe may have information. If you are the male, know who he is, have seen him or have any other information please contact the force. "You can visit our website, a police station or call 101, quoting investigation reference number 43260388467."
