Delta pilot issues urgent message as ‘conflict’ erupts among cabin crew in mid-air The aircraft was travelling between Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport in South Carolina and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport in Michigan when the 'conflict' erupted A flight was disrupted following a "conflict" between flight attendants, with other cabin crew members left thinking they would need to "separate them". The incident took place on board Delta Connection flight DL5090, operated by Endeavor Air, on Tuesday. The Mitsubishi CRJ-900LR regional aircraft was travelling between Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport in South Carolina and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport in Michigan. The flight, which lasted one hour and 20 minutes, took an unexpected turn when, on approach to Detroit, a conflict erupted between flight attendants. The nature of the dispute has not been revealed, but the captain of the plane told ground control the flight attendants would have to be separated to "prevent further escalation or an incident". Reporting to ground control during the approach, they said: "We are experiencing conflict issues among the flight attendants and will likely need to separate them to prevent further escalation or an incident." In-flight management and supervisory staff were asked to meet the aircraft directly at the gate after landing, Air Live reports. The plane landed safely with no further incidents a few minutes later. Endeavor Air is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines which operates services across the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. The Mirror has approached Delta regarding Tuesday's incident. This comes after a helicopter travelling to a North Sea platform was forced to make an urgent landing after it declared a mid-air emergency this morning. The Airbus H175 took off from Aberdeen heliport shortly before 8am and headed north-east over the North Sea. However the chopper, operated by Offshore Helicopter Services, was forced to turn back part-way through its journey out to one of the platforms in the area. Just minutes into the flight, the helicopter crew issued a 7700 squawk code, the air traffic control code of a general emergency. The aircraft, which typically holds up to 18 passengers, made a U-turn over the ocean before heading back to Aberdeen heliport for a safe landing. A spokesperson for Offshore Helicopter Services UK Ltd said: “Following standard safety procedures, an Airbus 175 returned to Aderdeen Airport this morning shortly after take-off. The aircraft landed without incident.”
