Lidl shoppers are about to see a chemical-free cleaning tool that claims to blitz "hard-to-reach" areas all over the home go on sale. The Silvercrest Handheld Steam Cleaner in all stores from Sunday, October 25, for less than £20 while stocks last.
The supermarket claims that this "easy-to-use" gadget (worth £17.99) "produces a powerful jet of steam for a deep clean". Instead of relying on harsh scrubbing, this tool helps to "clean, disinfect and degrease" a variety of surfaces with hot steam.
Lidl claims the tool is suitable for "refreshing upholstery and textiles" as well as helping keep taps, basins, mirrors and tiles looking "shiny". The cleaner uses "no chemicals or cleaning agents", relying solely on steam to help tackle dirt in "hard-to-reach areas".
The store adds that each kit comes with a seven-piece accessory set, including an extension nozzle, angled nozzle, upholstery nozzle, fabric cover, round brush, extension hose and measuring cup. It was described as being "small, handy and easy to store".
There are a variety of steam cleaners available elsewhere online. Amazon is selling the Tower Handheld Steam Cleaner (£30), and Dunelm is offering shoppers the Beldray 15-in-1 Steam Cleaner (£55).
People who opt for the Lidl offer can therefore save up to £37 instead of buying from leading brands. But, the Lidl offer will end when stores run out of stock, as the supermarket rarely gets more items once they sell out.

What else is new in Lidl this weekend?
The supermarket has a variety of cleaning gadgets which go on sale across all stores this week (Sunday, October 25). One of those is the Silvercrest Ultrasonic Cleaner as part of the retailer's latest middle aisle update.
According to the supermarket, it performs effectively on "jewellery, make-up brushes, coins, glasses, retainers, dentures and more". The machine features a "practical timer" function with an LED display, providing cleaning cycles of 90, 180, 300, 480 and 600 seconds.
The 500ml capacity tank comes complete with a "plastic basket and integrated watch holder". Lidl adds that the cleaning device consumes just 50W of electricity, so even during its longest cleaning programme, a 600-second cycle costs approximately 0.22p in electricity.
This Middle of Lidl updates its stock every Thursday and Sunday with various different themes. Find everything listed on the website here.
