Maya Jama has a 'tell' at the round table says a body language expert
Celebrity Traitors returns with a bang - well, a yawn - after the murderous trio were tasked with bumping off a Faithful in plain sight through the medium of... making them yawn.
We last saw Maya Jama and James Acaster repeatedly fake-yawning around Faithfuls Ross Kemp and Jerry Hall to get them to follow, thus consigning themself to death. Tonight's breakfast will show if they succeeded.
However, some think Love Island host Maya, 32, an under-the-radar player par excellence so far, has a 'tell' that could give her away at any moment. Body language expert Sean Johns described her behaviour at the round table, saying: "Eyes fixed, nothing else moving. It happens most when the talk is in a group.
"She goes still as if she doesn't want to draw attention to herself, her hands stop or disappear below the table, and the gestures that are everywhere else in her just drain away. It isn't boredom. Stillness like that is concentration: the body switching off its small movements so nothing leaks while the mind listens hard."

Banned in the castle
Banished Traitors Faithful Julie Hesmondhalgh has explained why players are banned from watching television or streaming music on Spotify whilst filming the show.
Corrie legend Julie told Good Housekeeping: "You weren’t allowed televisions because of ways that you can ascertain who went to bed latest."
Celebrity Traitors fans are sure there's a secret Traitor hiding in plain sight - just like Fiona in the civilian series.
Fans think Joanne McNally is playing as a "bad faithful" so she's not a threat to the three Traitors.
One fan wrote: "Her votes make no sense. Her theories are all wrong. In my opinion, she’s acting as a bad faithful so she flys under the traitors radar. So far, it’s working."

Traitors viewers are Faithful
More than 15 million people watched the first episode of Celebrity Traitors in the seven days following its transmission, figures have shown.
An average 15.41 million UK viewers watched the first episode in the seven days following its transmission, according to data published by the ratings organisation Barb.
For comparison, that's more than the 14.93 million average audience for the BBC’s coverage of England’s World Cup semi-final defeat by Argentina this summer!
Richard E Grant has denied staging his epic Celebrity Traitors slip-up to get out of filming after suggestions of that nature from a newspaper.
He wrote in a message to fans: “I usually wouldn’t comment on things like this, but I’ve been made aware some press outlets are suggesting I ‘staged’ my traitors reveal to get out of filming.
“This is categorically false. I’m an avid fan of the show and have been since it first aired. Being picked as a Traitor when I was convinced I’d be a faithful was an absolute dream and a sheer shock to the system.”
As Dr Hannah Fry (Faithful turned Traitor) pointed out, you never see the Traitors all together plotting in public for obvious reasons.
However, Amol Rajan has pointed out that's exactly what James Acaster, King Kenny and Maya Jama did last night. In fact, they all sat in a row like murderous X Factor judges.
Writing in the Metro, Amol wrote: "It was a beautiful example of how ‘murder in plain sight’ elevates the game to another level. Might it have occasioned the Traitors’ first huge blunder?"
Former Celebrity Traitors star Amol Rajan has warned players not to overlook one of the most clear and present threats in the game - social media star King Kenny.
He wrote in his Metro column: "Now that Maya has a Traitor in the turret who (unlike James Acaster) actually wants to be there, I think this could be a strong team. Don’t forget, by the way, how competitive Kenny is: he’s a top boxer as well as YouTube giant."

When is Celebrity Traitors on tonight?
The Celebrity Traitors, the BBC's biggest show of 2026, is keeping its prime slot rather than getting buffeted around the schedules like some shows (sorry for you, Strictly).
It will return to BBC One tonight at 8pm and run until 9.05pm when it makes way for spin-off The Celebrity Traitors Uncloaked until 9.30pm. A full hour and a half of treachery.

Maya Jama's tell-tale move
Body language expert Sean Johns said: "Maya has a habit at the Round Table, and once a habit gets noticed it becomes a tell. When other people are talking, she stops.
"Chin on her hand while Romesh Ranganathan talked about Rob Beckett. Fingers clasped under her chin while Kenny turned on Hannah Fry. The same clasp on Friday while Joe Lycett was questioning James Blunt, again all the way through Acaster's vote, and again after Joe's reveal."

James Acaster's secret girlfriend
James Acaster has broken hearts as it's revealed he has a secret girlfriend - after becoming an unlikely heartthrob in the castle on Celebrity Traitors.
He gave her the briefest of mentions The New Cue newsletter saying: "The cats wake us up around 6.30am. Feed them, do all the cat stuff. Go to this place nearby to get breakfast, get myself some bircher muesli, filter coffee, bring it back, eat breakfast with my girlfriend."
Stand-up James previously dated actress and writer Louise Ford, who starred in the likes of The Windsors and Horrible Histories.
Hello everyone and welcome to a dark and sinister turret in the Scottish Highlands (aka halfway up a tower in Canary Wharf, London) ahead of tonight's episode of The Celebrity Traitors.
Last time we saw our heroes and villains they were locked in a high-stakes battle of 'who yawned?' during a murder-in-plain-sight conducted by an increasingly desperate Maya Jama and James Acaster.
It looked like Ross Kemp or Jerry Hall would take the bait and tonight we find out if either of them did. Yawning has never been less boring...
