Every weekday, the CNBC Investing Club with Jim Cramer holds a "Morning Meeting" livestream at 10:20 a.m. ET. Here's a recap of Friday's key moments. 1. Stocks are mostly lower Friday, with the Dow leading the declines as the selling broadens out beyond just the AI trade. The 30-stock average is down about 1%. The S & P 500 and the Nasdaq are little changed after Thursday's brutal tech plunge. Pockets of tech are stronger Friday, with Palo Alto Networks and CrowdStrike our best portfolio stocks on the session. Both are up more than 6%. We trimmed some of our CrowdStrike into strength. We exited Broadcom . Rising bond yields and West Texas Intermediate crude up over $103 per barrel, due to fears of renewed tensions between the U.S. and Iran, are not helping stocks. Portfolio director Jeff Marks pointed out that despite yesterday's broader weakness, it wasn't all bad news for our Club names, with Eli Lilly , Johnson & Johnson , and Kimberly-Clark seeing notable gains. While all three are down Friday, Jeff said the moves are a reminder of why it is "always good to have some of these in a portfolio to be diversified for months like this." All three still have nice gains week to date. 2. Meta Platforms shares fell again Friday, extending Thursday's nearly 7% decline. It's one of our worst performers for the week. Jeff said that Meta is at the center of a growing concern among investors — "how is the AI buildout going to get funded?" Wall Street is increasingly worried about how the social media giant will finance its AI ambitions, which include expansion of its hit new AI agent Muse, as free cash flow turned negative for the first time since the company's 2012 initial public offering. Meta raised the low end of its full-year capital expenditure outlook. In an SEC filing, the company mentioned needing to raise "hundreds of billions of dollars over a period of several years beginning as early as fall 2026." As for the Club, we're sticking with Meta given its strong fundamentals and promising Muse roadmap, which were on display during the just-reported quarter. However, the bright spots have been overshadowed by all this other stuff. 3. We picked up a few shares of GE Vernova during yesterday's sell-off. Jim Cramer felt that it was a good time to make the move after watching and waiting. "Why don't we pick up a little bit, play for a little bit of a bounce, because remember the data center demand story is still quite strong," he said. When GE Vernova reports earnings next week, Jeff said we want to hear about continued strong orders for the company's heavy-duty gas turbines and strong pricing. We will also want to see that their electrical business is doing well, too. Looking ahead, 10 other Club names are on next week's earnings docket: Boeing , Alphabet , Microsoft , Linde , Eli Lilly , Starbucks , Amazon , Intel , FedEx , and FedEx Freight . (Jim Cramer's Charitable Trust is long META, BA, GEV, GOOGL, MSFT, LIN, LLY, SBUX, AMZN, INTC, FDX, and FDXF. See here for a full list of the stocks.) As a subscriber to the CNBC Investing Club with Jim Cramer, you will receive a trade alert before Jim makes a trade. Jim waits 45 minutes after sending a trade alert before buying or selling a stock in his charitable trust's portfolio. If Jim has talked about a stock on CNBC TV, he waits 72 hours after issuing the trade alert before executing the trade.
