British and French troops have joined forces in a major military exercise to prepare for battle against an enemy using drones and electronic warfare.
More than 2,500 troops have been conducting training in Germany, with hundreds parachuting from RAF aircraft in one of the largest British airborne operations in a generation.
The seven-week Exercise RHINO TITAN at Sennelager Training Centre has tested the capabilities of 16 Air Assault Brigade working alongside French troops. Germany has provided on the ground support as forces practiced defending NATO territory.
The drill also evaluated whether they could land with the necessary supplies and specialised equipment required to begin operations immediately.
