Multiple flood warnings as Queensland braces for more wild weather
Key Points
Several flood warnings have been issued across Queensland, as the state endures another day of heavy rain and residents brace for severe storms still to come. A Watch and Act alert has been issued for people in the Central Highlands as the river rises around the Theresa Creek Dam catchment area. Residents in Clermont and surrounding areas are being told to prepare now due to flooding, although the situation has been downgraded from an Emergency Warning earlier in the day.

In the state's south-east, the Mary River at Tiaro, north of Gympie, is rising and could reach the major flood level.
Flood gauges show the Mary River is rising rapidly above the moderate level, following days of heavy downpours.
The Bureau of Meteorology warns a severe weather system over the state's inland area will move east today, shifting to the south-east by Monday and bringing more heavy rain.
"There's still multiple days of storms and potentially severe storms to come, with Monday probably the peak day in terms of south-east Queensland risk," senior forecaster Felim Hanniffy said.
"And it will be the trifecta – that's large hail, damaging winds and heavy rainfall."
