A heckler at President Donald Trump's midterm rally was escorted out by security after shouting about the White House ballroom and interrupting Trump's speech on Monday evening.
The protester began shouting about the White House ballroom before being escorted away by two security guards, the Mirror US reports, shown in live footage from the rally in Mississippi.
The ballroom is among several renovation projects that the real estate mogul and former reality TV star has embarked on during his second term, sparking major backlash across the political spectrum for overhauling the historic landmark of the White House.
Trump, 80, immediately branded the heckler a "paid protestor" given $250 by billionaire George Soros to disrupt the event, without any evidence.
The president then told the heckler repeatedly, "oh, go home", as he faced the disruption during his speech in the southern state.
"They think it's Soros. And they ruin their lives. They get booked. We don't usually press it that hard. It's terrible," Trump continued.
Live footage from the rally shows two security officers walking the man, dressed in a red hoodie, out of the venue as the animated crowd "boo'd" and chanted "USA! USA! USA!" while throwing thumbs down in his face as he left the rally.
"I was just at the punchline, too!" Trump added, after an attendee could be heard shouting, "We love you!"
The Trump-led $400 million ballroom project required the demolition of the century-old East Wing of the White House in October 2025, a move that enraged some Americans.
"President Trump is a builder at heart and has an extraordinary eye for detail.
"The President and the Trump White House are fully committed to working with the appropriate organisations to preserving the special history of the White House while building a beautiful ballroom that can be enjoyed by future Administrations and generations of Americans to come," said White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.
The incident occurred at one of the many rallies Trump has attended to boost Republican candidates in the final crunch before the midterm election on Tuesday, November 3.
Some of the rallies have been in historically red states that are in danger of flipping in what is expected to be a bloodbath for Republicans.
Trump was stumping for incumbent Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.) ahead of his race with Democratic nominee Scott Colom, an African-American district attorney, for the historically Republican Senate seat.
Mississippi has not elected a Democrat to the Senate since 1982.
