Add light to homes with £4 Lidl gadget like £11 B&Q - in all stores Thursday Get in the Christmas spirit early with a new decorative item coming to all Lidl stores this week People looking to get their homes ready for the festive season may be interested in a new item coming to every Lidl store later this week. The major supermarket, with roughly 1,000 locations in the UK, says the decorative gadget could be ideal for "mood lighting" throughout the home. The LIVARNO LED Lantern Decoration will be available in three different designs - Light globe gold and white, black and gold, as well as gold and white - from Thursday, October 29. It comes with a more-than-affordable £3.99 price tag, and is for in-store collection only. Lantern decorations are portable, enclosed light sources used to house candles or electric bulbs while protecting the flame from drafts. They serve both a practical and aesthetic purpose, casting a soft, ambient glow to illuminate indoor spaces, gardens, or special events while adding a decorative focal point to the room. Product features - For mood lighting - Battery powered - Made from glass - String lights with 10x LEDs - 6 hour timer which automatically repeats on a daily basis - Can also be switched on and off manually - Base with integrated switch and battery compartment - Includes batteries (3x 1.5V⎓ LR6, AA) - Choose from: - Tall Lamp - Size: Ø9 x H19.5cm - Globe Lamp - Size: Ø15 x H14cm - 3-year warranty To avoid a wasted shopping trip on launch day and beyond, you can double check if the product is in stock at your nearest Lidl. It could be considered a budget alternative to an almost identical item on sale at B&Q. The Christmas Decorated Vase currently retails for £11.31 - nearly three-times more expensive than Lidl's offering. At first glance, the two are difficult to tell apart, although this version is slightly smaller, measuring 14cm tall compared with Lidl’s 19.5cm. But there's one major difference, and it's nothing to do with price or measurements - B&Q offers home delivery. B&Q offers home delivery free on standard orders over £100 - otherwise £6 - and free on large/bulk orders over £500 - otherwise £15. Delivery must be accepted by an adult and is dropped off strictly at the exterior ground floor of the property, with exclusions applying to certain remote areas and offshore islands.
