Major UK law firm enters administration after 25 years
Rahman Ravelli Solicitors Ltd, a leading UK firm specialising in high-stakes financial defence, has entered administration after more than two decades, with clients now being contacted about transferring their active cases.
Prominent UK law firm Rahman Ravelli has collapsed into administration, drawing the curtain on a 25-year reign as one of Britain's foremost specialists in high-profile financial defence cases. The London and Yorkshire -based firm appeared in a corporate insolvency notice in The Gazette, the official public record, today, October 27, 2026.
Rahman Ravelli Solicitors Ltd was established in 2001 by managing partner Aziz Rahman and went on to forge an impressive international reputation over the following decades. The firm became a go-to name for corporations, senior executives, and high-net-worth individuals embroiled in investigations involving serious fraud, bribery, corruption, money laundering, sanctions breaches, and asset recovery.
Among its most high-profile victories, the firm secured the acquittal of former Nigerian Oil minister Olatimbo Ayinde in June this year, following a gruelling six-month trial at Southwark Crown Court.

Although the formal administrative announcement published on the firm's website stopped short of disclosing any financial details, reports from Global Investigations Review and Lexology Pro suggest the firm's collapse is connected to the long-term ill-health of its founding partner, Aziz Rahman.
According to the Official Administration Notice posted on the firm's website, Andrew Hosking and Jamie Taylor of BTG Advisory LLP were appointed as Joint Administrators on October 20, 2026. The company's accounts as of December 31, 2024, revealed that the firm had an average of 25 staff over the preceding 12 months, all of whom could now face redundancy.
As part of the winding-down process, the firm has assured clients that ongoing operations are being handled safely. In a statement reported by The Law Society Gazette, the firm confirmed that all client funds held securely in regulated accounts remain completely unaffected by the administration.
To manage the orderly transfer of cases, the Joint Administrators have appointed Samantha Palmer of Child & Child Law Limited to act as Solicitor Manager.
Case handlers are currently reaching out to active clients to obtain urgent instructions on moving files to alternative legal representation.
