Georgie Nolan, 19, was last seen in the Bradford on Avon area on Saturday morning and was believed to have fallen into a canal. Police have now confirmed that, after an extensive search operation, a body has been discovered.
The body is yet to be formally identified; however, police believe it is the 19-year-old.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "We can confirm that a body was found this afternoon (27 October) in the Bradford on Avon area during the search for missing teenager Georgie.
"While formal identification has not yet taken place, Georgie's family have been informed of this development and are being supported by specially trained officers. They have asked that their privacy is respected at this extremely difficult time.
"Our thoughts are with Georgie's family and friends."
It is believed she was on the Kennet and Avon Canal at approximately 5am Saturday, October 24.

Following her disappearance, on Sunday morning, searches were focused on a number of canal boats moored behind the Barge Inn.
Volunteers accompanied police in the attempt to locate Georgie. An underwater camera attached to a long pole was also used to investigate areas beneath boats and narrow vessels.
Wiltshire Search and Rescue teams worked with the support of Avon and Somerset Search and Rescue and Hampshire Search and Rescue Dogs.
Although enquiries remain ongoing, Wiltshire Police do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
