Mum's emotional plea as new footage released months after daughter, 14, disappears
New CCTV footage of a 14-year-old girl has been released nearly two months after her disappearance, as police are appealing for any information to help locate the teenager
The mother of a 14-year-old girl who disappeared over two months ago has given an emotional plea after new footage of her has been released.
Nyla Primeau went missing from Woodinville, Washington, on August 19, sparking a search carried out by the King County Sheriff’s Office. Now, investigators have been directed to security footage captures in Seattle on September 17, nearly a month after Nyla disappeared.
The CCTV footage shows Nyla in the city's Capitol Hill neighborhood at around midday, reports the Sun. She is captured wearing a black Fear of God Essentials hoodie, grey joggers, and a white backpack.
The footage was caught around 20 miles from her home in Woodinville and is now considered the last confirmed sighting of the teenager.
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has renewed its appeal for information as they believe Nyla may still be in the area. Following the release of the new footage, Nyla's mother, Rachel Primeau, has issued an emotional plea
She said she remains increasingly concerned about her daughter's safety and hopes the new clip could help bring her home. She said: “Nyla, you are so loved and missed, and I will never stop waiting for your return. You are irreplaceable and the only thing I think and pray about. I love you from the depths of my soul.”.
It is not the first time Nyla has been reported missing, according to local reports. The teenager was reported missing from Port Townsend on July 19. At the time, reports suggest she may have been seen around the greater Seattle area, including White Center and Burien.
She is described as five feet five inches tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds. She has green eyes and was last known to have brown hair, although she frequently dyes it.
It has not been revealed by authorities where Nyla may have gone following the CCTV footage or what she was doing in Capitol Hill.
