Live: French anti-terrorism prosecutor to give press conference on racist Paris shooting A shooter suspected of killing one person and wounding five others last week in the town of Trappes, near Paris, was transferred to the Paris Judicial Court on Thursday, where he may be formally charged. France's national anti-terrorism prosecutor Olivier Christen is due to speak Thursday at 11am, with his statement to be broadcast live on FRANCE 24. A man suspected of carrying out a shooting in the Paris suburbs that killed one person and wounded five was transferred during the night between Wednesday and Thursday to the Paris Criminal Court, to face potential charges. The French National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor's Office (PNAT), which is handling the case and public prosecutor, Olivier Christen is set to speak on the matter at 11am. FRANCE 24 will be broadcasting the statement live. According to a source close to the investigation, the suspect was undergoing treatment for schizophrenia, AFP reported. The 39-year-old, identified in part as Kevin T., was arrested on Friday with a submachine gun and tear gas grenades in his car, shortly after a vehicle drove through the working-class towns of Trappes and neighbouring La Verrière and shots were fired at victims. French President Emmanuel Macron had branded the shooting a "racist terrorist attack", as most of the victims were from immigrant backgrounds. (FRANCE 24 with AFP)
