Robert Siner, 84, known affectionately as Bobby, was involved in a collision with an orange-coloured van on the Knotty Ash superstore car park in Merseyside on Saturday, October 10. Robert, who was a pedestrian at the time, spent two weeks in hospital before he tragically succumbed to his injuries and died on Monday, October 26. Merseyside Police said the van driver stopped and has been with assisting officers with their enquiries. In a heartfelt tribute, Robert's family described him as "a glass always half-full type of guy" who always "saw the good in people". "We are heartbroken to share the passing of Robert 'Bobby' Siner, a much-loved husband, dad, grandad and friend," they said. "He was a true gentleman who had time for everyone he came across on his many walks. He was always the optimist and saw the good in people – he was a glass always half-full type of guy. "He became a familiar face to many people in the local community who would see him on his daily walks." This is a Breaking News story.
