Justin and Hailey Bieber have added a $12 million Manhattan residence to their property portfolio, choosing a waterfront condominium in New York’s West Village that combines distinctive architecture, expansive river views and amenities designed around privacy. The purchase was first reported by The Wall Street Journal, with further details on the residence and its design published by Architectural Digest and Elle Decor. The couple’s new home is located at 160 Leroy Street, a luxury condominium building known for its sculptural exterior and position along the Hudson River. Spanning approximately 2,800 square feet, the apartment has four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms, with a 120-foot stretch of windows that brings natural light into the living spaces while opening up views of the waterfront.
Inside Justin and Hailey Bieber’s $12 million home
The apartment’s design places considerable emphasis on light, space and the display of art. According to property details reported by The Wall Street Journal, the residence features six designated art walls, providing dedicated surfaces for paintings and other works. Scandinavian larch wood flooring adds warmth to the interiors, balancing the building’s concrete-and-glass exterior. The living and dining areas are arranged to make the most of the river-facing windows.
The long expanse of glazing follows the building’s curved exterior, creating an uninterrupted visual connection with the Hudson River.
The kitchen has been designed with both everyday use and entertaining in mind. Property coverage by Elle Decor and E! News describes a separate, enclosed chef’s kitchen alongside the main kitchen, offering additional cooking space without disrupting the open living area. The arrangement allows the couple to keep food preparation separate from the principal entertaining space.
The primary bedroom suite also benefits from the apartment’s waterfront setting. The bathrooms feature high-end finishes, including marble surfaces and a soaking tub, while heated floors add another layer of comfort.
A building shaped by modernist architecture
The condominium is part of 160 Leroy Street, a development conceived by hotelier and Studio 54 co-founder Ian Schrager and designed by the internationally renowned architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron, which won the Pritzker Architecture Prize.
Completed around 2017, the 15-storey building is distinguished by its undulating concrete walls and curved glass facade. Its flowing lines reflect the influence of Brazilian modernist architect Oscar Niemeyer, whose work frequently explored sculptural forms and sweeping curves.
The design also responds to the property’s waterfront location. The expansive windows give residents views of the Hudson River, while the building’s layout and private arrival facilities provide a degree of separation from the surrounding streets.
Residents have access to a range of shared amenities, including a 70-foot indoor swimming pool, a wellness and fitness centre, yoga and Pilates facilities, a landscaped private courtyard and a catering kitchen. A covered porte-cochere, parking garage and 24-hour door attendant further support the development’s emphasis on convenience and discretion.
Who sold the apartment to the Biebers?
The seller was real estate developer Steven Brauser, chairman and chief executive of Parkland Group, an apartment development company. According to property records cited by The Wall Street Journal, Brauser acquired the condominium for $10.5 million in 2018 before listing it for $12 million in April 2026.
The Biebers reportedly paid the full asking price. StreetEasy’s transaction records list the four-bedroom residence as sold for $12 million, matching the reported purchase price. The property was marketed by Adam Heller, Amanda Rosenberg and Michael Gavin of the Heller Organization, while Romy Hechinger of Compass represented the buyers.
A celebrity address on the Hudson
The Biebers are not the only high-profile residents associated with 160 Leroy Street. Michael Rubin, founder and chief executive of sports-merchandising company Fanatics, owns a penthouse in the building that has been reported to be worth approximately $43 million.
For Justin and Hailey, the Manhattan purchase adds a New York base to a property portfolio that includes homes in California. The acquisition also comes as the couple continues to balance their professional commitments with family life. Justin is a global music star, while Hailey founded the beauty brand Rhode, which was acquired by e.l.f. Beauty in a deal valued at $1 billion in 2025.
With its Hudson River views, expansive glazing and carefully planned interiors, the West Village condominium offers a different setting from the couple’s California properties. Its combination of architectural distinction, waterfront positioning and privacy-oriented facilities makes it a notable addition to Manhattan’s luxury residential market.
