Horror moment TV presenter kicks drone into model's face while live on air Chaotic scenes on a Mexican late-night TV show saw a model left bloodied after a comedian appeared to kick an airborne drone into her face - he has since apologised A TV studio has vowed to cover the cost of a model's medical treatment after a comedian kicked a drone into her face live on air. Isabella Rojas appeared to suffer cuts to her lip after host Ernesto Chavana booted the airborne drone on Mexican TV programme Es Show on Monday, flinging it directly into her face. The incident drew a stunned reaction from fellow guests, with one seen checking on Isabella - whose head was in her hands - before a member of production staff escorted her backstage. Mr Chavana, who did not rush over to help her, initially appeared to blame his crew for flying the drone too low. He was seen shouting in their direction: "See what you just caused!". Ms Rojas later returned to the set after being given first aid, and the host offered her an on-air apology - before telling her the shape of his new shoes had caused the accident. According to Mexican media, bosses at Multimedios (operators of Canal 6) summoned Mr Chavana for a meeting in the aftermath to discuss workplace safety, and potential disciplinary action. A statement by the show read: "Isabella is doing well after her minor accident." Meanwhile, a social media outcry saw a number of viewers call for Ernesto Chavana to be sacked, with his unbothered demeanour immediately after the drone struck his colleague heavily criticised. In a message of support, his daughter Mafer wrote on social media: "Before anything else, you are my dad and I love you... you are not alone." Mr Chavana released a video message via social media about the incident the day after the show had aired, and said: "Here I am to face up to it. "I am not hiding. I am aware of the mistake I made yesterday by kicking a drone during a situation that came up on the programme "I offered apologies to Isabella on air and I took full responsibility for the event." The network and Mr Chavana confirmed they will pay for any further medical treatment arising from the incident. Ms Rojas, who regularly appears on the show as a dancer and model, began her career as a content creator before joining the popular late-night Spanish language variety show. She currently has around 178,000 followers on Instagram, where she posts clips of her modelling work, lifestyle content, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of her TV appearances.
