Officials send message to Celebrity Traitor fans ahead of final episode The final episode is set to air tonight, with Team Faithful and Team Traitor fighting for the win Officials have issued an important message to anyone planning to settle on the sofa tonight (October 30) to watch the Celebrity Traitors. The final episode will air on the BBC at 8pm - and there's going to be a lot of drama. But before we see who wins - Team Traitor or Team Faithful - TV Licensing officials have taken to social media. And now an advert is appearing on people's For You Page (FYP). It urges people in the UK who are watching live TV or BBC iPlayer to get a TV Licence if they don't already have one, but need one. Among the shows shown is The Traitors, featuring an image of Claudia Winkleman and the famous Scottish castle behind her. According to TV Licensing, you could be fined if you watch the BBC - live or on iPlayer - without a valid TV Licence. UK residents must pay £180 per year for a colour TV Licence or £60.50 for a black-and-white set. This follows a price increase implemented on April 1, 2026. A TV Licence covers a household for: - All TV channels like BBC, ITV, Channel 4, U&Dave and international channels - Pay TV services like Sky, Virgin Media and EE TV - Live TV on streaming services - like YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video - Everything on BBC iPlayer - Watching, recording and downloading on any device TV Licensing notes that a Licence doesn't just cover a TV set, but other devices too, explaining: "If you're catching up on BBC iPlayer on your phone as you commute to work, you need a licence. Streaming a live YouTube channel via your game console? You need a licence. Getting stuck into Sky Sports action live on your laptop or tablet? You need a licence for this, too. This includes recording and downloading." If you do not have a TV Licence, watching, recording or downloading TV programmes could lead to prosecution. If found guilty, you could face a fine of up to £1,000, as well as any legal costs and compensation the court may order you to pay. The maximum fine is £2,000 in Guernsey.
