The item may pose a possible health risk, UK officials say. The alert is over the Walkers Variety Snacks Sharing Box which has been on sale at £10. PepsiCo announced a recall of the item because the Monster Munch Giants Roast Beef 85g pack contains wheat (gluten). This ingredient is not on the outer packaging of the box, the firm admitted. The Food Standards Agency says: "This product contains gluten making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, or with coeliac disease." The pack size is 655g box (6 packs) and 107543 is the batch code, while the best before date is November 21, 2026. PepsiCo said: "The outer box does not have the correct ingredients or allergy information for the Monster Munch Giants Roast Beef 85g. The box does not say that this product contains wheat, so it may pose a risk to people with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or with coeliac disease." PepsiCo said that the individual bags inside are correctly labelled. Officials say PepsiCo has been told to contact allergy support organisations so they can inform their members about the recall. The company has, in addition, issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. The firm did not explain where the snacks were available for purchase. However, the item was on Iceland's website for £10. A notice there today says the snack box is 'currently unavailable'. The Food Standards Agency said: "If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten or have coeliac disease, do not eat it.
