Royal Mail issues delay alert to 63 UK postcode areas today — full list There are delays to deliveries across the UK Royal Mail has warned that a large number of postcode areas will not receive mail on time today. The delivery firm has published a list of the areas most impacted by delays. It aims to deliver to addresses six days a week, yet there have been a number of delays to the service. As of Tuesday, November 3, there are delays to 63 postcode areas. Royal Mail's air network ran to schedule over the past 24 hours, but there have been delays on the road network and at mail centres. It said: "Last night, three vehicles arrived to our Midlands Parcel Hub later than scheduled, meaning they were despatched for onward delivery to Chelmsford Mail Centre, Medway Mail Centre and Southampton Mail Centre later than planned. "As a result, some mail posted across other parts of the UK, for delivery in parts of the CM, CO, IP, SS, CT, DA, ME, TN, PO, SO and SP postcodes areas may arrive later than planned." Jubilee Mail Centre has faced delays as some mail posted in the GU, KT, SW and TW postcode areas are for delivery across other parts of the UK. In a small number of local offices, this may temporarily not be possible due to local issues such as high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors. "In those cases, we will rotate deliveries to minimise the delay to individual customers. We also provide targeted support to those offices to address their challenges and restore our service to the high standard our customers would normally receive. "We're sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding."
