'Entitled strangers parked on my driveway and reason they gave left me stunned' A homeowner was left baffled after discovering a stranger had parked on their driveway without permission, before the situation quickly escalated into an unexpected confrontation While every human is born with a brain, it seems they can work in very different ways from person to person. That's exactly what one homeowner discovered after spotting a stranger parking in their driveway to carry out an unusual task. They explained how they work from home and decided to make a sandwich during their lunch break, but their peaceful hour away from their desk was interrupted by a complete stranger. They said on Reddit : "So one day I decided to make a sandwich and noticed a random car parked in my driveway through the window. I go outside and ask the woman in the drivers seat if everything is okay and she says 'yes'. "Her and her passenger go back to their conversation like they aren't in my damn driveway and casually roll the window up. I ask her to move and she says that she'll move when she's ready." Wanting the situation resolved as quickly as possible, they decided to call the police, fearing they would otherwise be dragged into a screaming match. They added: "Apparently the passenger was the woman's boyfriend and she was taking him to pick up their kid in a public location. I literally live near a park with plenty of free parking. "She actually was [annoyed] when the cops showed up and recorded me from her car. "Thankfully I never saw them again and I ended up taking half a day off since this whole [thing] cut into my hour lunch break and I was going to be marked late anyways." While some users praised them for their actions, others shared their own stories about strangers using their property without permission. Entitled strangers Commenting on the post, one user said: "I live at the corner of an elementary school and there's a woman who drives a UTV to pick up her kids but doesn't get into the line, she just parks on the grass of our yard and waits. "Kids cut through our yard and parents cluster in our driveway, it's infuriating. One dad asked when we were going to put a bench in so they can sit and wait. "We told him we're going to put a trash can first for all the garbage they leave and he acted surprised by the idea. I actually despise these entitled [swear word]." Another user added: "I had someone sitting in my driveway once, waiting to get their kid off the school bus; refused to move when I pulled down the driveway to leave for an appointment-I had to insist, and tell them 'it's not a road, it's my driveway, and it's private property'." A third user said: "We once returned from a camping trip to find a woman parked in our driveway stealing our lemons. We waited for about 30 seconds for her to move before my husband asked her to leave. "She had an attitude about being asked to move her car from our driveway as she was stealing our lemons."
