We're locking in hefty profits in two of our growth healthcare positions Thursday. Selling 50 shares of Cardinal Health at roughly $273; Jim Cramer's Charitable Trust will own 375 shares of CAH, decreasing its weighting in the portfolio to 2.75% from 3% Selling 10 shares of Eli Lilly at roughly $1,420; the Trust will own 70 shares of LLY, decreasing its weighting in the portfolio to 2.6% from 3% Healthcare continues to outperform in a market that wants nothing to do with tech and data centers, which are getting slaughtered Thursday. CAH YTD mountain Cardinal Health YTD Cardinal Health is up more than 4%. It's one of the better performers in the S & P 500 on an otherwise ugly day for the market after the company reported a strong earnings beat and raised its full-year outlook. We'll provide more details about the quarter later in the afternoon, but this post-earnings move has extended the stock's rally to more than 20% since the end of September. Given the nice run it's had, we'll peel some stock off and raise a little cash. We will realize a gain of 20% on Cardinal Health stock purchased in March 2026. LLY YTD mountain Eli Lilly YTD It's the same line of thinking with Eli Lilly, which is modestly higher. The stock has recently been rewarded for the fantastic beat and raise it reported last week. Similar to Cardinal Health, shares have rallied more than 20% since the end of September. We've liked our growth healthcare stocks all year as a way to diversify away from the data center trade. We want to continue to own these for diversification, but we believe it's prudent to take some profits after such a strong run, consistent with our strategy of trimming into strength rather than chasing stocks higher. We will realize a huge gain of 500% on Lilly stock bought in February 2022. (Jim Cramer's Charitable Trust is long CAH, LLY. See here for a full list of the stocks.)
