T-Mobile US Inc. customers are being given the chance to add free phone plan benefits like Apple TV streaming subscriptions and Xbox Game Pass access, instead of more traditional benefits like international roaming.
At an event Thursday in West Hollywood, California, T-Mobile touted its new T-Mix offering and unveiled a new ad for the service featuring Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston. During a trial of the service in Kansas City, Missouri, executives were surprised about what customers prefer when given the choice, Chief Commercial Officer Andre Almeida said in an interview. They knew Netflix Inc., with whom the company has had a long relationship, would be popular, but didn’t know people would be so excited about Xbox, he said.
