RTÉ studios in Dublin evacuated after bomb threat as emergency services swarm the scene Staff have been evacuated from the RTÉ studios in Donnybrook, Dublin, after a bomb threat was sent to the broadcaster this morning, triggering a large police response A TV studio has been evacuated following a bomb threat, with emergency services flooding the scene this morning. The alarm was raised at the RTÉ studios in Donnybrook, Dublin, after an email was sent to the broadcaster earlier today. Scores of other media outlets across Ireland and Britain received the threat, RTÉ studios said. Staff at Newstalk and Mediahuis, both based in Dublin, are also understood to have been evacuated from their offices. RTÉ moved to pre-recorded programmes as a precautionary measure to allow gardai to investigate, reports Dublin Live. The broadcaster's Radio One programme, Today With David McCullagh, was also briefly called off and replaced with a pre-recorded music. It later said it was back on air "after our offices were evacuated due to a bomb threat". The statement continued: "Taoiseach Micheál Martin joins #TodayDMC over the phone, amid security concerns ahead of the visit of EU leaders to Dublin next week." Several police officers have been pictured outside the studio on Stillorgan Road this morning. A Garda spokesperson said: "An Garda Síochána is aware of a threat made against media organisations here and in Europe. "An Garda Síochána has been liaising with the Irish media organisations and the threats will be investigated." This is a Breaking News story.
