Royal Mail issues delivery disruption alert to 48 UK postcodes this weekend — full list Many postcode areas won't receive mail on time Royal Mail has warned that a number of postcode areas will see disruption to their deliveries this weekend. The delivery firm has shared a list of the most impacted postcode areas across the UK. Weekend delivery and collection services are taking place on Saturday, November 7 while parcel deliveries will take place on Sunday, November 8. Yet, there are delays to these services in 48 postcode areas. Royal Mail said: "We aim to deliver to all addresses we have mail for, six days a week. In a small number of local offices, this may temporarily not be possible due to local issues such as high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors. "In those cases, we will rotate deliveries to minimise the delay to individual customers. We also provide targeted support to those offices to address their challenges and restore our service to the high standard our customers would normally receive. "We're sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding." Glasgow, Nuneaton, Peterborough and Lichfield are among the areas most impacted this weekend. Royal Mail will not be making any collections or deliveries on Friday, December 25 (Christmas Day), Saturday, December 26 (Boxing Day), or Monday, December 28 (substitute Bank Holiday for Boxing Day). The last postal deliveries before Christmas will take place on Thursday, December 24 (Christmas Eve), with services resuming on Tuesday, December 29. Royal Mail's last posting dates are Friday, December 18 for Second Class postage and Monday, December 21 for First Class.
