Woman, 28, dies after being hit by Audi as police make 'drug-driving' arrest Police in Birmingham have launched an investigation after a woman tragically died in a fatal collision with a black Audi A 28-year-old woman who was hit by an Audi in Birmingham has died despite desperate attempts by police and medics to save her. West Midlands Police were called to Dartmouth Middleway just before 2.30am today after a pedestrian was hit by a black Audi RSQ8. A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving whilst under the influence of drugs. He remains in custody for questioning. Emergency services flooded into the area with the road closed for almost 12 hours both ways between Jennens Road and Great Lister Street. A police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for anyone who was in the area who may have witnessed the collision, or any drivers who may have dash cam footage, to get in touch with us.
