Consumers forgoing PM Surya Ghar aid can opt for Non-DCR solar panels
The government on Wednesday said consumers willing to forgo central assistance for setting up rooftop solar systems under the PM Surya Ghar scheme may use non-DCR (domestic content requirement) solar modules for their installations. The clarification was issued days after the ministry of new and renewable energy made it mandatory for all solar projects to source equipment from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-II with effect from June 1.
