A Canadian tourist is in hospital with a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain after a vicous assault in a Byron Bay park overnight. Police were told the 28-year-old was drinking in Railway Park with a group of about five males he had just met, before they turned on him. It is believed two of the group were teenagers, aged 16 or 17 years old.
