Mutation-dependent responses to sleep and exercise in clonal haematopoiesis

Abstract Clonal haematopoiesis (CH) activates inflammation and increases the risk of atherosclerosis1,2. Whether lifestyle alters CH clone expansion or the phenotypic programming of CH mutant cells, thereby affecting atherosclerosis, is unknown. Here, in humans and mice and across mutations in Jak2, Tet2, Trp53 and Dnmt3a, we demonstrate mutation-dependent responses to sleep and exercise in CH and show that mutant cells are uniquely sensitive to lifestyle.

Diverse binding poses of agonistic neurotoxins on human Nav1.6

Abstract Voltage-gated sodium (Nav) channels are key targets of various venomous toxins. Deciphering the binding poses and mechanisms of action of representative toxins will help to dissect the functional mechanism of the channels and facilitate therapeutic development targeting Nav channels1,2. Here we present cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) structures of distinct binding poses of three agonistic peptide toxins on the human Nav1.6–β1 channel complex.

SIRT7 regulates dosage compensation and safeguards the female X chromosome

Abstract Sirtuins are deacetylases implicated in stress responses and longevity in mammals1,2. Although their differential impact on disease for the two sexes has been noted3,4,5,6,7, the underlying reasons are unclear. Here, using Sirt7 as a model in mice, we examine the mechanisms leading to sex differences and find that Sirt7−/− female mice have decreased fitness throughout their lifespan.

A formal proof of the Ramanujan--Nagell theorem in Lean 4

arXiv:2604.09808v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: We present a complete formalization, in the Lean interactive theorem prover with the Mathlib library, of the Ramanujan--Nagell theorem: the only integer solutions to the Diophantine equation $x^2 + 7 = 2^n$ are $(n,x) \in \{(3,\pm1),(4,\pm3),(5,\pm5),(7,\pm11),(15,\pm181)\}$. The formalization includes all dependencies, notably the computation of the ring of integers of the quadratic field $\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{-7})$, its class number,...

Prime Event Languages: An Information-Theoretic Investigation of Twin-Prime Event Structure

Announce Type: new Abstract: Prime numbers are traditionally studied through numerical, probabilistic, and analytic frameworks. In this work, we introduce the concept of a prime event language, in which arithmetic phenomena are represented as symbolic event sequences and analyzed using tools from information theory and stochastic processes. Using all primes up to N = 5 x 10^9 (234,954,223 primes), we construct event languages based on twin-prime occurrences and record prime-gap events.

A first-in-class pulsatile FXR agonist for bile-acid-related liver diseases

Abstract Nuclear receptors are central regulators of metabolism1, yet therapeutic strategies that enforce continuous receptor activation frequently lead to reduced efficacy and unacceptable toxicity. Here we report a first-principles drug design strategy that aligns pharmacokinetics with physiological signalling cycles. We developed linafexor, a potent non-bile-acid agonist of the farnesoid X receptor (FXR)2; it is engineered for rapid systemic clearance, which enables pulsatile receptor...

DPBench: Structural Determinants of Multi-Agent LLM Coordination Under Simultaneous Resource Contention

Announce Type: replace Abstract: We present DPBench, a benchmark for evaluating coordination in multi-agent systems built from large language models. Existing benchmarks measure task-level success under a fixed protocol; the structural conditions under which coordination succeeds or fails at all have not been characterised. DPBench adapts the Dining Philosophers problem into a controlled testbed where the action protocol, the communication structure, and the group size each vary independently.

Amplified Arctic iceberg traffic reshapes benthic biodiversity

Abstract The Arctic is undergoing rapid warming, resulting in retreating sea ice and glaciers1, yet how cryospheric changes propagate into the deep ocean remains poorly understood2. Here we identify a climate-driven mechanism linking accelerating glacier disintegration to an increase in deep-sea hard-bottom habitats far beyond calving fronts. Seafloor observations in Fram Strait show a localized increase in the density and patchiness of dropstones delivered by debris-laden icebergs.

Wind as Driver of Bird and Bat Abundance, Flight Direction, Altitude, and Speed on the North Atlantic Shelf

arXiv:2511.14983v2 Announce Type: replace Abstract: Quantifying the collision risk of birds and bats with offshore wind turbines requires an understanding of the drivers of flying animal behavior at offshore wind sites. An omnidirectional S-band radar system was deployed on a research barge on the Northeastern Shelf of the United States (40.9 deg N, 70.79 deg W) and collected data for a 5-week window during the 2024 autumn bird and bat migration. The barge also supported two profiling lidar...

Classification of independent sets in signed Johnson graphs and applications to kissing arrangements

Announce Type: new Abstract: Johnson graph are a family of graphs that play an important role in the theory of constant-weight codes, extremal combinatorics, and combinatorial geometry. We study signed analogues of classical Johnson graphs, denoted by $J_\pm(n,k)$, whose vertices are vectors of the form $\pm e_{i_1}\pm\cdots\pm e_{i_k}$, where two vertices are adjacent whenever their dot product equals $k-1$. We are particularly interested in maximum independent sets in the case $k=4$. An...
