Information Networks of Stock Prices

arXiv:2606.07450v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: The collective movement of stock prices harbors complex interdependencies that are conventionally simplified only through a linear lens. This paper explores computed structural network representations in the Indonesian capital market by testing the limits of Pearson correlation and Mutual Information (MI) in unveiling the spectral dynamics of the market. Across 2,328 rolling observation windows from 2015 to 2025, we examine 24 methodological...

Doctors told me not to worry but I diagnosed son's dementia after seeing a video

Doctors told me not to worry but I diagnosed son's dementia after seeing a video Bethany's son is just 22-months old A mum says she is cherishing every precious milestone her toddler reaches, knowing he will one day lose the ability to walk, talk and even recognise his family. Bethany Gordon said she always felt there was “something different” about her youngest son and now, aged just 22 months, Kole Pearson has been diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome Type A – a rare condition often...

Soft Covering via Hypothesis Testing: Typical-Code Exponents and Mismatched Detection

Announce Type: new Abstract: We study the typical-code (quenched) behavior of the false-alarm (FA) and missed-detection (MD) error exponents of the Neyman-Pearson test associated with soft covering, complementing the average-code (annealed) analysis that has been carried out in a companion paper [1]. We prove that, as the block-length tends to infinity, for almost every randomly selected fixed-composition codebook, the negative normalized logarithms of both error probabilities converge to...

Template Collapse and Information-Theoretic Limits in Camera rPPG Pulse Morphology Restoration

Announce Type: new Abstract: Objective: Consumer face camera remote photoplethysmography (rPPG) enables passive cardiovascular monitoring, but whether single-cycle waveform morphology encoding arterial stiffness biomarkers is recoverable from this measurement has not been characterised. Methods: We evaluated 16 architectures spanning six families on 153 subjects across three datasets, introducing cross-subject Pearson r to distinguish subject-specific recovery from template collapse. Relaxation Kernel, Spectral Dissipation, and Global Convergence of Blahut--Arimoto Dynamics

arXiv:2604.25106v3 Announce Type: replace Abstract: We develop a spectral theory for continuous- and discrete-time Blahut--Arimoto (BA) dynamics, centered on the relaxation kernel $ \G = \E_p[K^*_X \otimes K^*_X] $. Five main results are established. Along the continuous-time BA flow, the free energy satisfies the exact $ \chi^2 $-dissipation identity $ \dot F_\beta = -\D(q) $, where $ \D(q)=\chi^2(\T q \| q) $ is the Pearson $ \chi^2 $-divergence.

Self-Improving Small Object Grounding in LVLMs

new Abstract: Can internal attention patterns in Large Vision Language Models (LVLMs) identify reliable small-object boxes without fine-tuning? In this work, we provide an affirmative answer. Attention structure in LVLMs encodes grounding quality-a lightweight IoU regressor trained solely on attention maps achieves strong IoU prediction (Pearson r > 0.67).

McDavid ties Gretzky with 5th Ted Lindsay Award

NEW YORK -- Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers has won the Ted Lindsay Award as the NHL's most outstanding player as voted by his peers. The league and the Players' Association announced the honor Sunday. This is the fifth time McDavid has won it, tying Wayne Gretzky for the most in league history for the trophy, which used to be named for Lester B. Pearson.

NumLeak: Public Numeric Benchmarks as Latent Labels in Foundation Models

arXiv:2605.30393v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Public numeric benchmarks appear in pretraining, so an evaluation that conditions on a date may be measuring memorized recall rather than out-of-sample skill. We introduce NumLeak, a measurement framework that combines API-boundary probes on production models with a white-box controlled validation on an open causal LM. Top-tier frontier LLMs recall the Fama-French market excess return at 3-seed pooled Pearson r=0.97-0.99 while staying within...
