TPR Domains Drive the Functional Phase Separation of HOP and its Regulation by Hsp90 and Hsp70

HOP is a cochaperone that facilitates client transfer between two major chaperones, Hsp90 and Hsp70. Emerging evidence, however, suggests that HOP plays additional roles in coordinating complex proteostasis networks. We demonstrate here that stress-dependent HOP foci are biomolecular condensates formed by liquid-liquid phase separation.

Cheap Reward Hacking Detection

arXiv:2606.08893v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: A small transformer encoder is trained to map Terminal-Wrench trajectories onto a unit sphere where embedding distance approximates the $L_1$ distance between reward and metadata signals. A linear probe on top of that embedding detects reward hacking on the cleaned test split with AUC $0.9467$ and TPR@5%FPR $0.8296$, matching the TW sanitized LLM-as-judge AUC ($0.9510$ on the cleaned split) and exceeding its TPR@5%FPR ($0.7130$ vs $0.8296$) on...

FlcE latches onto the FliL-stator complex to turbocharge flagellar motility in Borrelia burgdorferi

Periplasmic flagella are essential for the distinctive morphology and motility of the Lyme disease spirochete Borrelia burgdorferi, and motility plays a critical role in its pathogenic lifestyle. These flagella are powered by specialized motors that contain a large spirochete-specific multiprotein collar complex, yet the molecular architecture and mechanisms underlying high-torque motility remain poorly understood. Here, we identify the tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR)-containing protein...

SynCred-Bench: Benchmarking Synthetic Credibility in AI-Generated Visual Misinformation

arXiv:2606.03348v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Recent generative models can now produce visual artifacts with realistic embedded text and layouts, creating a new misinformation threat: synthetic credibility. We introduce SYNCRED-Bench, a benchmark of 600 AI-generated misinformation images balanced across six credible-form categories and seven fine-grained circulation styles, together with FP450, a real-image negative set for measuring false positives. Extensive evaluation shows that...

DWP new pension plans update announced as £1,000s taken from accounts

DWP new pension plans update announced as £1,000s taken from accounts The government says it is "stepping in" in tackle the concerning issue The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has shared new plans this week that'll impact millions of people across the UK who have a pension. The proposals are designed to tackle a concerning issue that many people are facing, with some losing £1,000s. In an announcement on Tuesday, June 9, the government said pension savers will be "better protected"...

An Embarrassingly Simple Detector for Model Extraction Attacks in Large Language Model API Traffic

Announce Type: new Abstract: Large language models (LLMs) are increasingly deployed through hosted APIs, making model extraction a practical threat to model ownership and service security. However, individual extraction queries often resemble benign requests, and existing evaluations often focus on single-query anomaly scoring or pure benign-versus-attacker user settings. We formulate model extraction monitoring as benign-calibrated traffic-window distribution testing and show that an...

TGV-KV: Text-Grounded KV Eviction for Vision-Language Models

Announce Type: new Abstract: Vision-Language Models (VLMs) inherit the auto-regressive generation paradigm and cache the keys and values (KV) of all previous tokens to accelerate inference, resulting in memory consumption that scales linearly with context length. This issue is particularly pronounced in VLMs due to substantial redundancy in the visual modality. Although KV cache eviction approaches can effectively reduce inference memory, they often incur significant performance degradation...

ATML1-GIR1-TPL/TPR transcriptional repression module controls glucosinolates and giant cells in Arabidopsis thaliana sepals

Glucosinolates (GSLs) are sulfur- and nitrogen-containing secondary metabolites that serve as defense compounds in Arabidopsis and other members of the Brassicales. Although the enzymatic pathway that produces GSLs is well-studied, the upstream mechanisms that control their tissue-specific synthesis are poorly understood. We identified a novel repression module that transcriptionally regulates GSL levels in sepals, the modified leaves that protect reproductive tissues within the floral bud.

Linear Ensembles Wash Away Watermarks: On the Fragility of Distributional Perturbations in LLMs

arXiv:2605.30501v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Watermarking embeds statistical signatures in AI-generated text for detection and attribution. We reveal a fundamental vulnerability: when users access multiple models (today's reality), watermarks trivially fail. Watermarks perturb output distributions away from the original, and in competitive markets, these perturbations are typically independent across providers.
