TAMPA, Fla. -- Speaking publicly for the first time this offseason, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield said that contract extension talks "are not anywhere close to what we were thinking" and that it's "time to get something done long-term." General manager Jason Licht has said multiple times this offseason that there isn't a specific timeline the Bucs are working off of. But Mayfield said he and his agent, Tom Mills, provided one: by training camp, which will open in late July.
