Cellpin enables reference-based imputation and denoising of spatial transcriptomes
Spatially resolved transcriptomics enables gene expression profiling within tissue architecture, but targeted panels leave much of the transcriptome unmeasured and spatial artifacts such as RNA diffusion and segmentation errors introduce technical noise. These limitations necessitate computational imputation and denoising, yet existing methods typically incorporate spatial measurements during training, limiting scalability and risking the embedding of technology-specific artifacts into...
Auditable recovery of single-cell RNA-seq zeros with SPARE
In Single-cell RNA-seq, observed zeroes are the mix between biological absence and technical limitations. However, current evaluation metrics fail to distinguish between these two states, focusing on reconstruction accuracy rather than the biological validity of edits. We introduce SPARE, a partition-aware framework that audits the imputation process by cataloging observed zeros as edited, unchanged, or marker-vetoed prior to sequence reconstruction.
Towards Drone-based Mapping of Volcanic Gases using Gas Tomography
Announce Type: replace Abstract: Volcanoes emit large amounts of CO2, directly influencing human lives. Mapping volcanic gas emissions helps to forecast eruptions and understand the impact of volcanoes on climate and the environment. Drone-based gas sensing significantly reduces risks in volcanic monitoring but faces technical limitations when measuring gas, as rotor downwash disperses the gas plume before detection.
Understanding How Enterprises Adopt the Model Context Protocol for LLM-Driven Software Engineering
arXiv:2606.09182v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Large Language Models (LLMs) are increasingly used in AI-based software engineering, but their limitations in complex task execution and multi-tool coordination have driven growing interest in the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Existing research has mainly focused on MCP's technical design, with limited empirical evidence on how it is adopted and used in enterprise practice, particularly with regard to deployment challenges, operational risks,...
Anthocyanin-associated cellular programs underlying terroir variation in Cabernet Sauvignon grape berry revealed by SEED-based deconvolution
Plant tissues consist of diverse cell populations that collectively contribute to development, metabolism, environmental responses, and phenotype formation. Although single-cell and single-nucleus RNA sequencing have greatly advanced the study of plant cellular heterogeneity, their application to large sample cohorts remains limited by cost, technical complexity, tissue dissociation constraints, and throughput. In contrast, bulk RNA-seq datasets have accumulated extensively across plant...
AIGaitor: Privacy-preserving and cloud-free motion analysis for everyone, using edge computing
Announce Type: replace Abstract: Motion capture is the gold standard for measuring human movement, but clinical use remains limited by cost, technical complexity, and privacy concerns. AIGaitor is a privacy-preserving, cloud-free motion analysis system that runs markerless monocular motion-capture pipelines and downstream deep-learning analysis entirely on a consumer smartphone using on-device neural accelerators. To motivate its design, we surveyed 74 rehabilitation clinicians: 92 percent...
The Topological Dual of a Dataset: A Logic-to-Topology Encoding for AlphaGeometry-Style Data
arXiv:2604.18050v2 Announce Type: replace Abstract: AlphaGeometry represents a milestone in neuro-symbolic reasoning, yet its architecture faces a log-linear scaling bottleneck within its symbolic deduction engine that limits its efficiency as problem complexity increases. Recent technical reports suggest that current domain-specific languages may be isomorphic as input representations to natural language, interchanging them acts as a performance-invariant transformation, implying that...
Terahertz biophotonics: Understanding the path towards practical applications for biological imaging
Terahertz biophotonics: Understanding the path towards practical applications for biological imaging Gaby Clark Scientific Editor Alexander Pol Deputy Editor Biophotonics is a multidisciplinary field that involves the development and application of light-based technologies to study, monitor and treat biological systems. The ability to directly image cells and molecules has led to many fundamental discoveries in the past century. More recently, the terahertz (THz) region of the...
From Project-75I to Project-76: What PM's Hazira visit reveals about India's submarine plans
From Project-75I to Project-76: What PM Modi's Hazira visit reveals about India's submarine plans Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to L&T's Hazira facility underscored India's renewed focus on indigenous submarine development. During the visit, the Prime Minister was presented with what is believed to be a scale model of the Project-76 submarine. Designed by the Naval Design Bureau, these submarines are expected to be developed and made in India.
Overcoming Challenges in Agile and DevOps Integration: A Qualitative Study
arXiv:2606.01676v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: In response to the growing reliance on Agile and DevOps methodologies for enhancing software delivery speed and quality, this study investigates the persistent challenges and viable solutions associated with their integration. Although Agile promotes iterative development and customer responsiveness, and DevOps emphasizes automation and operational efficiency, their convergence in practice often presents significant organizational, structural,...
