Chris Sale's historic home ERA makes Braves run line a must-bet against struggling Blue Jays
Thursday is one of my favorite baseball days of the week. It is a travel day, which means that a lot of teams aren’t taking the field, but that means I can spend more time digging into games and match ups. Today we have a game between the Blue Jays and Braves that I think will reward us with some cash.
Blue Jays outfielder Jesús Sánchez leaves game after appearing to be hit by ball thrown from stands
There are a lot of ways for a baseball player to leave a game with an injury. Getting hit in the hand by a ball from a fan in the stands is apparently one of those ways, although it's not a very common one. Toronto Blue Jays right fielder Jesús Sánchez exited Sunday’s 9-5 loss to the Baltimore Orioles after he was hit by a ball that came from the stands at Camden Yards.
Why bettors should back the Phillies on the run line against Blue Jays despite a recent loss
A new week of baseball starts, and I need a new opportunity. The last few baseball picks that I've had crushed me, unfortunately. The good news is that with baseball we get chances every day to recapture those units the sportsbooks are borrowing from us.
Blue Jays rally while Orioles' double-play attempt negated as umps rule infielder failed to try to tag runner
The replay system and the Automated Balls and Strikes system (ABS) may be a saving grace for some players and managers but the human element of baseball will always be a factor in the game as it was in a game between two American League East contenders. Jays' Sanchez hurts wrist on ball thrown by fan
BALTIMORE -- Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Jesus Sánchez was injured by a ball thrown from the bleachers Sunday, sustaining a bruise to his right wrist that forced him to leave the game against the Baltimore Orioles. The culprit wasn't a malicious fan. Rather, the ball was tossed by a youngster who merely wanted to play a game of catch.
O's irked after Clement ruled safe in Jays' win
TORONTO -- Ernie Clement swerved to his right and dodged a tag attempt by Baltimore Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson, who threw to first, assuming the Toronto Blue Jays baserunner would be called out for leaving the baseline. Instead of an inning-ending double play, umpires ruled that Clement was safe, and it turned out to be the key play as Toronto rallied for a 6-4 victory Sunday. The Orioles led 4-1 in the sixth when Clement reached on Henderson's fielding error.
