Never Seen Before: Benchmarking Genuine Zero-Shot Composed Image Retrieval with Consistent Video-Sourced Datasets

arXiv:2606.07032v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Zero-Shot Composed Image Retrieval (ZS-CIR) aims to retrieve a target image based on a query composed of a reference image and a relative caption without training samples. Existing ZS-CIR datasets often suffer from complete irrelevance between reference and target images due to noisy image sources, and do not achieve a true zero-shot scenario as they use public image datasets that models like CLIP have been trained on. To tackle these...

Back to Point: Exploring Point-Language Models for Zero-Shot 3D Anomaly Detection

arXiv:2603.21511v2 Announce Type: replace Abstract: Zero-shot (ZS) 3D anomaly detection is crucial for reliable industrial inspection, as it enables detecting and localizing defects without requiring any target-category training data. Existing approaches render 3D point clouds into 2D images and leverage pre-trained Vision-Language Models (VLMs) for anomaly detection. However, such strategies inevitably discard geometric details and exhibit limited sensitivity to local anomalies.

ConTrans: Learning Text-enhanced Local-global Temporal Representations for Zero-shot Temporal Action Localization

arXiv:2605.30689v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Zero-shot Temporal Action Localization (ZS-TAL) aims to detect and locate previously unseen actions in untrimmed videos. However, existing approaches primarily focus on modeling long-range contextual information, often neglecting the critical relative-offset-based local correlations between video frames. Furthermore, their performance is hindered by limited feature representation capabilities due to the shallow nature of their network...

Zeroserve: A zero-config web server you can script with eBPF

zeroserve is a small, fast, zero-config HTTPS server. You hand it a tarball of a website and it serves it - over HTTP/2 and TLS 1.3, with hot reload and a tiny resident footprint. The twist is that you can drop eBPF programs into the tarball and they run on every request, in userspace, as sandboxed middleware - rewriting, authenticating, and rate-limiting requests, or reverse-proxying them to a backend when you want it to act as a gateway in front of your app.

Smokin' Charley Hull gets off to a fast start at U.S. Women's Open before fading, Stephen A weight loss & MEAT

Welcome in to another edition of Friday Screencaps where I address my 16th wedding anniversary with Mrs. Screencaps and we check in with Smokin' Charley Hull at the U.S. Women's Open to see if she's returned to smoking cigs at a tournament as the pressure mounts. First, I would be a complete moron if I didn't mention the anniversary thing. Last week, Mrs. Screencaps and I started to build a plan for the evening and where we might want to go to dinner with our boys.
