Parallel Complex Diffusion for Scalable Time Series Generation

Announce Type: replace Abstract: Diffusion models learn data distributions indirectly through denoising, making the difficulty of generative modeling closely tied to the dependency structure of data. For time series, strong temporal dependence forces the noise / score estimator to recover highly entangled cross-time relationships, leading to the curse of entanglement. We mitigate this burden by changing the topology of the diffusion space: the Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) decomposes...

APAO: Adaptive Prefix-Aware Optimization for Generative Recommendation

arXiv:2603.02730v3 Announce Type: replace Abstract: Generative recommendation has recently emerged as a promising paradigm for sequential recommendation. It formulates the task as an autoregressive generation process, predicting tokens of the next item conditioned on user interaction histories. Existing generative recommendation models are typically trained with token-level likelihood objectives such as cross-entropy loss, while employing beam search during inference to generate ranked...

FRWKV+: Periodic-Aware Adaptive Gating for Frequency-Space Linear Time Series Forecasting

arXiv:2605.15690v2 Announce Type: replace Abstract: Accurate and efficient long-term multivariate time series forecasting requires capturing recurring temporal structure while keeping inference cheap across many variables and horizons. Frequency-space models represent long-range and periodic variation compactly, but they typically process the real and imaginary spectral components as weakly coupled streams and treat periodic cues as ordinary input features, even when such cues are...

A Mechanism-Coupled Split Window Network for Medium- to High-Resolution Land Surface Temperature Retrieval

arXiv:2509.04991v2 Announce Type: replace-cross Abstract: Land surface temperature (LST) is a fundamental physical variable in land-atmosphere interactions, surface energy budgets, and climate processes. LST derived from medium- to high-resolution thermal infrared (TIR) observations effectively reveals thermal environmental disparities across distinct landscape units. However, achieving accurate, robust, and globally generalizable LST retrieval remains challenging under complex atmospheric...

Gene ancestries reveal diverse microbial associations during eukaryogenesis

Abstract The origin of eukaryotes remains a central enigma in biology1. Continuing debates agree on the pivotal role of a symbiosis between an alphaproteobacterium and an Asgard archaeon2,3. However, the nature, timing and contributions of other potential bacterial partners4,5,6 and the role of interactions with viruses7,8,9 remain contentious.

You Must Fix Your Asserts (Zig)

You Must Fix Your Asserts A user on a discussion platform wrote: I think “disabling asserts in prod” is a pretty common technique, yeah? As far as I know that is probably a correct statement, but I believe it to be an irredeemably bad practice. Let’s start with some context first, since this discussion started because of how std.debug.assert works in Zig.

Mitochondria directly interact with the nuclear pore complex

Abstract Mitochondria regulate cellular processes through direct and indirect interactions with other organelles. A well-studied example has been contact with the endoplasmic reticulum at mitochondrial-associated endoplasmic reticulum membranes1, which control pathways including redox and calcium homeostasis2,3. Recent studies have also reported direct mitochondria–nuclear membrane contacts in cancer cells and yeast that promote pro-survival signalling4,5.

PlayStation Architecture

Supporting imagery A quick introduction Sony knew that 3D hardware could get very messy to develop for. Thus, their debuting console will keep its design simple and practical… Although this may come at a cost!

Ask HN: What are tools you have made for yourself since the advent of AI?

I've made a number of ceramic molds for slumping fused glass into bowls. As well as wooden templates for ceramic mugs. I've devised a few carrying tools to move glass frit paintings from my studio down to my barn where the kilns sit without spilling the glass.
