Murrell also purchased a book of speeches by his estranged wife, Nicola Sturgeon. Murrell pleaded guilty to embezzling over £400,000 from the party during a High Court appearance in Edinburgh on Monday morning. The amended charge reduced the amount of the embezzled money from more than £459,000. A 126-page indictment details hundreds of items that Murrell bought using the embezzled funds.
