Traffic is being held anti-clockwise on the M25 between Junction 25 for Enfield and Junction 24 for Potters Bar due to a vehicle fire with four miles of congestion
Motorists face rush-hour chaos on the M25 with traffic held due to a vehicle fire.
The anti-clockwise carriageway is affected between Junction 25 for Enfield and Junction 24 for Potters Bar and drivers have been told to expect delays of half-an-hour with four miles of congestion.
A National Highways spokesperson said: “On the M25 anticlockwise between J25 (Enfield) and J24 (Potters Bar) traffic has been held due to a vehicle fire.
“The fire service are on scene. There are delays of 30 minutes and 4 miles of congestion on the approach.“

National Highway says that two lanes are now closed on the M25 with recovery arranged for the vehicle that was on fire.
It states: "The #M25 anticlockwise between J25 (#Enfield) and J24 (#PottersBar) now has 2 (of 4) lanes closed due to due to a vehicle fire.
" The fire service remain in attendance. Recovery has been arranged. There are delays of 30 minutes and 6 miles of congestion on the approach."
Traffic is being held on the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 this morning causing four miles of congestion with delays currently of around 30 minutes.
