EasyJet Plc said it has rejected another sweetened offer from Castlelake LP for £6.50 a share, the fourth time the discount carrier has turned down an approach from the US investment firm.
At the same time, EasyJet’s board signaled that it’s willing to entertain a higher bid and has sought an extension of a firm offer bid to July 5. That move “might produce a more attractive proposal that better reflects the value of easyJet and its prospects and the interests of shareholders thereto,” EasyJet said in a release.
