A contract worker who allegedly sexually assaulted two students at an Adelaide Hills school he worked at has appeared in court for the first time.
The man aged in his 30s, who cannot be named due a suppression order on his identity, is charged with two counts of indecent assault between April 2025 and May 2026.
Court documents viewed by the ABC allege two female students were indecently assaulted by the man on separate occasions.
The documents allege that one of the girls was indecently assaulted between April 1 and July 10, 2025, while the other girl was allegedly indecently assaulted in April this year.
In a statement earlier this year, police said they were called to an Adelaide Hills school on April 27 "after reports a student had allegedly been assaulted by a contractor working at the site".
Solicitor Kevin Raison, who is representing the accused, told the Mount Barker Magistrates Court on Thursday afternoon that he had only just received paperwork showing there was a second alleged victim.
He also asked the court for a suppression order to be put in place.
"On a very preliminary view of the facts of charge, it appears that identification may be … an issue," Mr Raison said.
"It is clear that the investigation is not complete.
"In all of those circumstances, it is my application [for a suppression]."
The police prosecutor did not oppose the application.
Magistrate Kathryn Hodder made an order to suppress the man's identity and noted that it would be reviewed the next time the matter is before a court.
The man will next appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court in November.
