The FSA has announced that Capsicana is recalling its Easy Going Mild Salsa after it emerged the product contains barley (gluten) and mustard, which are not listed on the label. The salsa is stocked across various supermarkets, and the specific product being recalled is a 285g pack size, with a batch code of 6091 and a best-before date of May 2027. The FSA said: "This product contains barley (gluten) and mustard, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to mustard and/or allergy or intolerance to barley or gluten, or with coeliac disease. "Capsicana is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product. "If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to mustard and/or and allergy or intolerance to barley or gluten, or with coeliac disease, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund. No receipt required. Additionally, Dundeis UK Ltd is recalling Minton and Donello Organic White Orzo because it contains wheat (gluten), which isn't mentioned on the label or in the ingredients list on the reverse of the pack, the FSA said. The product affected is a 500g pack size, with batch code 78850 78850 78850. Best-before dates of January 31, 2027, May 2, 2027 and May 24, 2027 are affected. The FSA said: "This product contains wheat, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten or with coeliac disease. When there is a food allergy risk, the FSA will issue an Allergy Alert."
