Police Scotland said the 16-year-old was walking near the Moongate in the north-east side of Springburn Park on Friday, June 26, when she was attacked. On Saturday, officers said a 36-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with a serious sexual assault. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, July 6. Police have thanked those who assisted with the investigation.
