Officers attempted CPR but the man was declared dead shortly after they arrived.
The Karalee man has been charged with murder and is due to face Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
A 43-year-old Beenleigh woman is in hospital under police guard and is expected to help police with their investigation.
Police said all three people knew each other.
Queensland Ambulance Service said a man in his 40s with an arm wound and an uninjured woman were both taken to hospital.
