Florida’s Republican governor, Ron DeSantis, has suspended a former close ally and senior civic official who was arrested on felony child sexual abuse charges.

Michael Caruso, who was removed as clerk of court and comptroller for Palm Beach county on Tuesday, was a vocal supporter of a law signed by DeSantis in 2023 that allowed the death penalty for anybody convicted of the sexual battery of a child under 12.

The New York Giants are trading guard Daniel Faalele to the Jacksonville Jaguars for an undisclosed late-round 2027 draft pick, sources confirmed to ESPN's Jordan Raanan. Faalele had been taking second-team snaps at Giants training camp but lost his best chance at a starting role when New York drafted Francis Mauigoa with the 10th pick and planned to make him a guard. Source: Saints' Kamara (MCL) out at least 1 month

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is expected to be sidelined for at least the next month due to a sprained MCL, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Kamara, 31, will play for the Saints in 2026 on a reworked contract that will pay him a base salary of $6 million this season with a chance to make up to $8.5 with incentives. Kamara had been set to make up to $11.5 million in base salary this season, although the Saints renegotiated his contract for salary cap purposes in early March.
