A garden centre has already started selling Christmas decorations - almost 20 weeks before Santa arrives!
Despite a heatwave powerful enough to incinerate your turkey and sprouts, Summer Hill Garden Centre in Billericay, Essex, opened up the festive section two weeks ago and it appears they've had few complaints.
They told us their customers are already up for some festive shopping in August, even if some have been taken aback after walking in to be met with a sea of tinsel, lit up reindeers and tree toppers all available to buy already. That's not it, and the store is already boasting gift inspiration with dozens of Drummer Boy ornaments and cards also on display.
The garden centre has set aside a large area for the Christmas decorations as they get in the mood with a worker at the branch telling us: "We've had the Christmas section set up for a few weeks now.
"The display is something we've done in August for a couple of years and it's always gone down well with our customers."
They've not all gone to quite such lengths, but Christmas products are beginning to appear across several UK retailers, with the seasonal rollout at an early stage.
According to social media users, there have been signings of substantial Christmas craft selection at The Works in Cwmbran, Wales - and it seems to be a theme with the town.
Primark last week started selling Nightmare Before Christmas clothing, and eagle-eyed shoppers have already spotted some seasonal chocolate tubs, including Roses and Quality Street, at Tescos and Morrisons.
So, when is it too early?
A woman sparked a huge debate online after claiming those who put their decs up before December arrives are purely "attention seeking" - but not everybody agrees with her assessment.
Taking to popular forum Mumsnet, the woman took aim at those who go early and put festive displays up since October and November.
The anonymous user said her neighbour had their festive decor up since Halloween and said: "My neighbour has had her house decorated fully for Christmas now for almost two weeks - they started going up on Oct 31st. Fully lit tree in the window, outdoor lights, Christmas wreath on the door - the works."
"Since I've known her, she's also posted on Instagram and her WhatsApp status each year on either Christmas Day or the 26th to show her decorations coming down and a general 'I can't spend another minute looking at them' message If she put them up at Christmas and not at Halloween, she wouldn't be looking at them for all that long.
"Am I being unreasonable for thinking that someone who put Christmas decorations up at the end of October/early November is an attention-seeking loon?"
