Papa Johns is shaking up its loyalty scheme this week - and you will need to spend more money to get freebies.
You get one point for every £1 spent at Papa Johns - then every 20 points you get is worth £3 of “Papa Dough” to spend at the takeaway pizza chain. But from September 16, 10 points will be worth £1 instead.
This means 20 points would be worth £2 under the new scheme. A Papa Johns spokesperson said: “Customers can continue to use any dough they've earned at the previous conversion rate towards their purchases in exactly the same way.
“Should a customer reach 20 points before 16th Sept this will be automatically converted into £3 Papa Dough, which will remain in the customer’s balance for six months as per the existing scheme.
"We have communicated the change directly with Papa Rewards members in advance and remain committed to rewarding our customers through the programme.”
Papa Johns is not the only company to make changes to its loyalty scheme. Eurostar customers will need to earn more points to claim free trips from October 29.
For example, you currently need 1,000 points to claim one standard off-peak, one-way ticket to or from London - but this will rise to 1,100. You need 2,000 points for a plus ticket, rising to 2,200.
For a peak, one-way ticket to or from London, a standard ticket can be claimed when you have 1,500 points - but this is increasing to 1,650.
To claim a plus ticket, the points threshold is rising from 2,500 to 2,750, and for a premier ticket, the points you need is going up from 3,000 to 3,300.
One-way upgrades to or from London currently cost 600 points if you have an off-peak ticket - this will rise to 650. For peak ticket upgrades, will increase from 600 points to 900 points.
Starbucks customers used to need 130 stars to get a free filter coffee, americano or hot tea - but this rose to 150 stars on September 3.
For bakery items, including croissants, cookies, muffins and more, the number of stars visitors need has increased from 300 to 350.
To get a free handcrafted beverage, which includes drinks such as lattes, mochas, matchas, and frappuccinos, the number of stars has gone up from 500 to 600. For selected merchandise, such as mugs and cups, the star level has increased from 1,000 to 1,150.
