The Australian dollar rose 0.3% to 71.1 US cents.
Front and centre on the economic agenda, appearances by RBA governor Michele Bullock, RBA deputy governor Andrew Hauser and the central bank’s chief economist, Sarah Hunter, before the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Economics in Canberra today. That is scheduled to begin at 9:30 am AEST.
